Trench Rescue Awareness Course
Special Operations Consulting Canada (SOCC Rescue)
1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing, purchasing, enrolling in, or using this course, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not access or use the course. These Terms apply to individuals, departments, agencies, and organizations purchasing access on behalf of others.
2. Course Provider This course is provided by: Special Operations Consulting Canada (SOCC Rescue) Canada References to “SOCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Special Operations Consulting Canada.
3. Course Purpose and Scope This course is a Trench Rescue Awareness level program only. It is intended to provide: General hazard recognition education Awareness of trench rescue risks Understanding of early isolation and resource activation This course does not provide: Operations-level training Technician-level training Authorization for trench entry Authorization to supervise trench rescue operations Completion of this course does not qualify the participant to perform trench rescue operations.
4. Standards Reference Course content references recognized standards including: NFPA 1006 NFPA 1670 These references are educational only. Completion of this course does not constitute certification, credentialing, or NFPA compliance.
5. No Practical Training This is an online awareness course only. It does not include: Hands-on instruction Skill evaluation Scenario-based training Competency validation Practical competency requires supervised, in-person instruction.
6. Assumption of Risk Trench rescue is inherently dangerous and may result in serious injury or death. Users acknowledge that: Content is educational only Operational environments are unpredictable Online instruction cannot replace field training SOCC is not responsible for how information is applied in real-world incidents.
7. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law: SOCC shall not be liable for injury, death, property damage, or operational loss resulting from use or misuse of this content. All materials are provided “as is” without warranties. Use of course material is entirely at the user’s own risk.
8. Professional Responsibility Users remain responsible for: Operating within their training level Following departmental policy Complying with legislation and regulations This course does not override incident command authority or agency procedures.
9. Certificates of Completion Certificates represent: Completion of an online awareness course only No verification of skills No authorization for trench entry Certificates must not be represented as technician or operational certification.
10. Intellectual Property All course content is the property of Special Operations Consulting Canada. Content may not be copied, recorded, distributed, or shared without written permission. Unauthorized use may result in termination without refund.
11. Account Access Access is: For the registered user only Non-transferable Subject to monitoring Account sharing is prohibited.
12. Refund Policy Unless otherwise stated in writing: All sales are final No refunds after access is granted Technical issues will be addressed on a reasonable-effort basis.
13. Content Updates SOCC may update or modify course content without notice to reflect changes in standards or best practice.
14. Termination Access may be suspended or terminated for: Violation of these terms Unauthorized content distribution Misrepresentation of certification No refund will be issued.
15. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in Ontario.
